In the case of a research internship, you will be involved in ongoing research projects (possibly with an additional research assignment of your own). Activities may include preparation for field research, data collection and analysis, organising and reporting on meetings. This work placement is particularly suitable for students of social sciences (e.g. sociology, anthropology, social geography) or spatial sciences (urbanism, planning) with an interest in qualitative or design research. For this internship you will receive an internship fee in accordance with the guidelines of the Municipality of Rotterdam. Depending on our assignments this offer varies, it is best if you send us a motivation letter and CV and we will then see if we have a suitable offer.
Which projects do students work on
Over the past year, students have participated in a study of social resilience in the Bospolder-Tussendijken neighbourhoods, the 'Healthy in Beverwaard' research project, and three students are currently working on an assignment from the Safe / Municipality of Rotterdam directorate.
