Our team
The core of our team consists of fixed employees and researchers who regularly work with us on projects. Every semester we strengthen our team with students who do their internship or graduation project with us.












Onderzoeksraad
De Veldacademie streeft naar een verbreding van wetenschappelijke disciplines die betrokken zijn bij opgaves in de stedelijke ontwikkeling. Vandaar ook de brede samenstelling van de onderzoeksraad, met deskundigen op het gebied van stedenbouw, sociologie, stadsgeschiedenis, gezondheids-management, omgevingspsychologie, arbeidspsychologie en bestuurskunde. De onderzoeksraad komt twee keer per jaar bij elkaar.

Hans Hazenak (chairman) started out as a concrete and steel structural engineer and later worked as an urban planner for urban renewal and urban and regional planning projects. He has been retired since 2012.

Arnold Reijndorp is an independent researcher and a former professor by special appointment in social, economic and spatial development of new urban areas at the University of Amsterdam.

Lieke Oldenhof is a university lecturer at the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management, with a specialization in Health Care Governance.

Maarten van der Sanden is an associate professor for Communication Design for Innovation at TU Delft.

Machiel van Dorst is vice-dean at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment in TU Delft and associate professor for Environmental Design at TU Delft.

Paul van de Laar is head of the History Department at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication, chair of Cities as Portals of Globalization and Jurriaanse Chair of History of Rotterdam.

Roland Blonk is a professor by special appointment with expertise in Labor and Inclusive Labor Innovation at Tilburg University and a Principal Scientist at TNO.

Wenda Doff is an independent researcher and lecturer focused on urban sociological issues at, amongst others, the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
The Veldacademie is a research platform for socio-spatial urban development and was established as a link between the municipality of Rotterdam and educational institutions.
