On March 21st Loes Pluymen, Industrial Design student, was awarded a Bachelor Grant as a prize for her design for the District Service Point in Kralingen Crooswijk. In collaboration with the staff of the district service Vreede Noordplein in West Kralingen Loes made a design for a product that should improve the medication fidelity of independently living elderly.
In April 2012 Veldacademie, district City Centre and the DUT (Industrial Design), organized a final Bachelor project that aims to design new products to expand the services of district service points. The assisted living Steering Committee chose three designs for further elaboration. Momentarily preparations are being made for the production of a prototype of a 'historical table'.
